Recalling the best of ’90s rock and grunge, Los Angeles-based artist Eddy Yang’s new single, “Split the Night” conjures up images of late-night cruisin’ and contemplation. With a rhythm-guitar-centered arrangement, the track sounds like early REM or Pearl Jam, while Yang’s bare-bones vocal keeps it all modern, mainlining the best of today’s indie rock.

Self-produced and recorded, it’s truly a statement by an artist dedicated to finding his own voice. Check out Eddy Yang’s “Split the Night” below — making its Popdose premiere!
