This is an amazing moment; a new single from one of our greatest songwriters/musicians/singers.  A heartbreakingly powerful track and video to go along with it.

Popdose is very proud to share with you the new offering from the legendary Peter Holsapple, who you know and love from The dB’s, with his first new solo release in a very long time, “Don’t Mention The War”.  Listen closely to the lyrics; they mean everything.  Written from an extraordinarily deep emotional perspective, it speaks of a soldier’s return and suffering the debilitating effects of PTSD.  It’s an old-fashioned story song as the soldier’s story is how his troubles affect those around him, which is tragically true.

A thoughtful, meaningful piece, it could not come at more critical time.  Mr. Holsapple’s new offering is a welcome return from a sorely needed and much missed voice.
