Singer/songwriter Dar Williams, in conjunction with The Message, have released what they are calling “a music video in response to the War On Women.” The video, featuring Williams’s song “As Cool As I Am,” is a montage of images of feminist icons, music legends, activisits, and contemporary women. Gary Louris of the Jayhawks also makes an appearance.

Williams  says of the video, “Every state and every party, both men and women, have found creative, resilient ways to say YES to a society that values its women (including their reproductive systems). Recent events have made it important to underscore this positive force in our country, so here goes!”

The video is the first of a series of original productions from The Message, which produces and distributes videos about progessive issues.
